Refunds, cancellations, and no-shows

These rules apply to the Fundamentals Study Series, desk hours, and shelf orientations booked with Notion Beacon. They match how those sessions are delivered: in person, in Jinju, with printed notes prepared for a named learner. Write to hello@notionbeacon.click or call 0553703204 to start a request.

Eligibility and timeframe

Ask for a refund in writing. Include the name on the fee note, the session, and the date. Requests made inside the windows below are eligible. Requests made after a session has been held are eligible only for the unheld remainder, as described here.

Fundamentals Study Series

If you cancel 7 or more days before evening one, the series fee is refunded in full. If you cancel after that point but before evening one, the fee is refunded except for the cost of packets already printed for you, which will be itemised and will not exceed 40,000 KRW. Once the series has begun, evenings already held are not refunded. Evenings not yet held are refunded in equal sixths of the series fee, minus any printed packet already prepared for an evening you will miss.

Desk hours

Cancel or move a desk hour at least 24 hours before the start and the hour is refunded in full, or moved once without a second fee. Cancel inside 24 hours, or fail to arrive, and the hour fee is kept, because the tutor and the binder have been held for you.

Shelf orientation

Cancel an orientation at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund. Inside 24 hours, or on a no-show, the 35,000 KRW visit fee is kept. If you enrol in the next Fundamentals Study Series within 14 days of a visit you did attend, the visit fee is credited against the series fee rather than refunded in cash.

Deposits

When a private group series is quoted, the desk may ask for a deposit of 80,000 KRW per learner to hold the week. The deposit is applied to the series fee. It is refunded in full if you cancel 7 or more days before evening one. Inside that window it is kept toward the printed packets and the held dates.

Work already started and materials

An evening that has started, a desk hour that has started, and an orientation that has started are work already delivered and are not refunded. Packets printed for you are materials prepared for a named person. Unused blank stock is not charged. Packets that have your name and the evening’s samples on them are the non-refundable portion described above when you cancel late.

Rescheduling

You may move a series seat to the next public series once, if you ask before evening one and a chair is free. You may move a desk hour or an orientation once, with at least 24 hours’ notice. A second move is treated as a cancellation under the windows above.

How a refund is paid, and how long it takes

Refunds are paid back to the same method you used to pay the library. This website does not process the original payment or the refund. After the desk confirms eligibility, the refund is submitted within 10 business days. Banks and card issuers may take additional days to show it.

Exceptions

If Notion Beacon cancels a session, you may take a full refund of the unheld portion or move to another date, and any deposit for a cancelled week is returned. Illness notified before the session starts is handled as a reschedule where a later chair exists. These rules do not cover goods, shipping, or subscriptions, because the library does not sell them.
