The official registered business name is Notion Beacon. The business was established in 2018.
Han Seo-yeon rented a single room above a stationery shop in Jiphyeon-myeon, Jinju-si, and lined one wall with binders. Neighbours had started arriving with unfamiliar words — account, signature, rent — and nowhere quiet to sit with them. The first meetings were Saturday explanations. There was no series yet, only a table and a stack of cards.
In 2020 she added a weekday desk hour for people who had one question and could not stay for a whole Saturday. In 2023 the public offering settled into the six-evening Fundamentals Study Series, with a packet printed before each meeting rather than improvised on the board. Park Min-jae joined in 2024 to keep the desk hour and to shelve new notes. He had indexed reading rooms at a university library and was glad of a job with a short, strict shelf.
The library remains that room. English notes stay on the shelf because the documentation learners bring is in English. Han paraphrases in Korean when someone asks. Sessions are taught to adults. The business is registered in Korea and answers to the desk address printed in the footer.
Founder and series tutor. She leads every public Fundamentals Study Series and writes the packets. Before the library, she taught evening community classes and spent two years sitting in open Solana study circles as a listener, taking the notes she later turned into binders.
