Privacy note

This note explains how Notion Beacon handles personal information when you write to the desk or use this website. It should be read with the cookie note.

What we collect

If you send the inquiry form, we receive your name, email address, the session you select, an optional preferred date, and your message. Do not include secret keys or seed phrases. If you write by email or phone, we keep the correspondence needed to answer. The website itself does not ask you to create an account.

Why we use it

We use those details to reply, to offer a chair or an hour, to prepare the right binder, and to keep a record of what was agreed about fees and dates. The legal bases we rely on are your request before a contract, steps toward a session agreement, and our legitimate interest in running a small library safely. Where Korean law requires consent for a particular use, we ask for it separately.

Retention

Inquiry correspondence is kept for 24 months after the last message in the thread, then deleted, unless a longer period is required by Korean tax, accounting, or dispute rules for a fee that was actually paid. Notes in the desk book are kept only when you have agreed they may be typed for the learner-notes page, and you may withdraw that agreement.

Your rights

You may ask for access to the personal information we hold, for correction of something inaccurate, for deletion, for restriction of a particular use, and for a copy in a common format where the law provides it. You may object to a use based on legitimate interest. To exercise a right, email hello@notionbeacon.click. You may also complain to the Personal Information Protection Commission in the Republic of Korea.

International transfers

The library handles inquiries in Korea. If you write from outside Korea, your letter is received and stored by Notion Beacon in Korea. We do not sell personal information. We do not pass inquiry details to advertising networks. A courier or email provider that simply carries a message may process it for that delivery, under their own terms, and we choose providers that can serve a desk in Korea.

Cookies

Cookie and browser-storage choices are described on the cookie page. Rejecting optional storage does not stop you from reading the library or sending a letter.
